Cutting 3.7 seconds off a course platform
A course platform loading in 5.8 seconds, rebuilt to 2.1 — while gaining quizzes, certificates and drip content.

The problem
A mid-sized e-learning platform ran over 30 professional-development courses on an outdated custom theme with an LMS plugin bolted onto it. Pages were slow, worst on video-heavy lesson pages. Over 60% of traffic was mobile, on course pages that were barely usable at that size.
What we measured
Average page load time of 5.8 seconds. Mobile bounce rate 68%. Enrollment conversion 2.3%.
What changed
Rebuilt on the EduBlink theme with Tutor LMS and WooCommerce. Caching and image optimisation, course preview video compressed and lazy-loaded, and overlapping plugins consolidated to cut bloat. The catalog, instructor profiles and checkout were redesigned around how people actually browse and buy a course. A staged rollout tested enrollment and payment with a 50-student beta before launch.

Takeaway
A feature-heavy LMS doesn't have to be slow — load time came down 3.7 seconds while the platform gained quizzes, certificates and drip content.
